Description
Riva Acetaminophen Caplets Regular (Acetaminophen) is a pain and fever relieving agent. It is typically used to temporarily relieve minor aches and pains due to headaches, muscle aches, back aches, minor pain of arthritis (inflammation of the joints), the common cold, toothache, premenstrual and menstrual cramps. It also temporarily reduces fever. It may also have other uses.

Riva Acetaminophen Caplets Regular (Acetaminophen) is typically taken as 2 caplets every 6 hours for adults and children above the age of 12. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Do not take more than 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor. It can be taken with food or on an empty stomach (but always with a full glass of water). Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks in a day, do not take acetaminophen products, as your risk of liver damage is increased. Do not take Riva Acetaminophen Caplets Regular (Acetaminophen) if you are taking another product containing acetaminophen. Stop use and ask a doctor if pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days, fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days, new symptoms occur, redness or swelling is present. In addition to its desired action, Riva Acetaminophen Caplets Regular (Acetaminophen) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, tiredness (fatigue), vomiting, paleness (pallor) or excessive sweating (diaphoresis). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to acetaminophen or any component of the formulation, liver disease caused by acetaminophen. Taking Riva Acetaminophen Caplets Regular (Acetaminophen) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
