Description
Taro Amcinonide (Amcinonide) is a topical corticosteroid agent. It is typically used for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic (itchy skin) manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive skin defects or lesions. It may also have other uses.

Taro Amcinonide (Amcinonide) is typically used two to three times per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Allergic contact dermatitis (red, itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it) can occur, it is usually diagnosed by failure to heal. Topical corticosteroids may be absorbed, enter the systemic circulation and may cause hyperglycemia (high blood sugar level). Children may absorb proportionally larger amounts after topical application and may be more prone to systemic effects. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Taro Amcinonide (Amcinonide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause secondary infection, skin irritation and local dryness. It may cause hyperglycemia (high blood sugar levels) and skin atrophy (degeneration of skin cells). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity (severe allergy) to amcinonide or any component of the formulation, used on the face, groin, or axilla (armpit). Taking Taro Amcinonide (Amcinonide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor.
