Description
Buckley’s (COUGH & CONGESTION) is a decongestant agent. It is typically used for the fast relief of cough, congestion (the result of inflamed air passages) and minor lung irritation. It may also have other uses.

Buckley’s (COUGH & CONGESTION)'s dosage depends on the patient's age, it is usually given as a dose of 5 mL to 10 mL or one to two teaspoon every 2 to 3 hours as required. The maximum dose is 5 doses in 24 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using this drug if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney or liver disease, have a persistent or chronic cough, difficulty breathing, asthma (chronic inflammatory lungs disease) or other chronic lung conditions. Stop using this syrup and ask your doctor if your symptoms worsen or last for more than 7 days, or are accompanied by the production of thick yellow or green phlegm (type of mucus made in your chest), high fever (>38ºC), rash or persistent headache. In the case of accidental overdose, contact your doctor immediately, even if there are no symptoms. These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Buckley’s (COUGH & CONGESTION) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause trouble breathing. It may cause tingling, burning and tingling sensation of skin. It may cause constipation, taste impairment, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ammonium, potassium, menthol and camphor or any component of the formulation. Do not give for children under the age of 12 years old. Taking Buckley’s (COUGH & CONGESTION) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Buckley’s (COUGH & CONGESTION) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it.
