Additional information
SDZ Azithromycin (Azithromycin) is typically given once a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for your child. It may be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle well just before you give a dose. Use the dosing device that comes with Sandoz Azithromycin to carefully measure the dose. Do not use a household teaspoon as it is not accurate enough. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Long-term use of Azithromycin may cause it not to work anymore in the future (resistance), more bacteria and fungi to grow (superinfection), and bacteria that do not die (resistance). Azithromycin only treats bacterial infections, not viral infections such as the common cold. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Azithromycin (Azithromycin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause changes in the sense of taste (dysgeusia), diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting. It may cause abnormal liver function tests. It may cause fungal infections of the skin, nails, mouth, vagina, or urinary tract. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, Erythromycin, other antibiotics of the same class, or any component of the formulation. Do not use this product if you have a history of cholestatic jaundice (yellow discoloration of skin and/or eyes) or liver problems after using Azithromycin. A treatment with SDZ Azithromycin (Azithromycin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.SDZ Azithromycin (Azithromycin)
