Description
Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide) is an anti-acne agent. It is typically used to treat mild to moderate acne. It may also have other uses.

Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Gently massage into skin for 10 to 20 seconds, working into a full lather. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. WARNING: Avoid contact with eyes and other mucous membranes. Some products may stain certain fabrics, avoid contact with clothing or furniture. May bleach hair. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce dose frequency or drug concentration. If excessive stinging or burning occurs after any single application, remove with mild soap and water, resume use the next day. In addition to its desired action, Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause peeling, itching, irritation, and reddened skin Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide or any other component of the formulation. Taking Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Benzac W (Benzoyl Peroxide)
