Description
PDP Benztropine (Benztropine) is an antiparkinsonian agent. It is typically used to treat Parkinson’s disease (a brain disorder that leads to shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination). It may also have other uses.

PDP Benztropine (Benztropine)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with or without food. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with tachycardia (abnormally fast heartbeat). Use with caution in patients with glaucoma (increased eye pressure). Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal (stomach and intestinal) tract problems. Use with caution in patients with prostate hyperplasia (a condition in men in which the prostate gland is enlarged and not cancerous). Use with caution in children >3 years. In addition to its desired action, PDP Benztropine (Benztropine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause tachycardia, constipation, vomiting, fever, depression. It may cause nausea, dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention (inability to pass urine despite persistent effort). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to benztropine mesylate or any component of the formulation, children less than 3 years of age. Taking PDP Benztropine (Benztropine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of PDP Benztropine (Benztropine) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with PDP Benztropine (Benztropine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
