Description
Apo Candesartan (Candesartan) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It may also have other uses.

Apo Candesartan (Candesartan) is typically taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to meals. An oral suspension may be prepared for children unable to swallow tablets WARNING: This medication can cause injury and death to the developing fetus. Discontinue as soon as possible once pregnancy is detected. Avoid use in infants <1 year of age due to potential effects on the development of immature kidneys. In addition to its desired action, Apo Candesartan (Candesartan) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) It may cause renal function abnormality (kidney problem) It may cause dizziness, hyperkalemia (high blood potassium) It may cause back pain Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to candesartan or any component of the formulation, concomitant use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes mellitus Taking Apo Candesartan (Candesartan) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Candesartan (Candesartan) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
