Description
Dalacin (Clindamycin) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat bacterial vaginosis (a bacterial infection of the vagina). It may also have other uses.

Dalacin (Clindamycin) is typically used as one full applicator inserted intravaginally once daily at bedtime. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection (additional infection). Discontinue drug if significant diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or passage of blood and mucus occurs. Sexual intercourse during treatment with Dalacin Cream is not recommended. It is not recommended for use in children. In addition to its desired action, Dalacin (Clindamycin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause inflammation of the cervix, infection or inflammation of the vulva and vagina It may cause itching, vaginal disorder, vaginal discomfort, vaginal discharge It may cause stomach cramps Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any component of the formulation. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Dalacin (Clindamycin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
