Description
Locacorten Vioform (Clioquinol Flumethasone) is an anti-infective agent (used to prevent or treat infection). It is typically used for the relief of inflammation and itching due to skin conditions such as contact or allergic dermatitis (eczema, a dry and irritated skin) or seborrheic dermatitis (a common skin disease that causes an itchy rash with flaky scales), which also have bacteria or fungus infecting the skin. It may also have other uses.

Locacorten Vioform (Clioquinol Flumethasone) is typically used two to three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Clean the affected area before application, for external use only, avoid contact with eyes. Avoid the use of occlusive dressings. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) problems. Use with caution in patients with renal (kidney) problems. Use with caution in patients with thyroid (gland in the neck) abnormalities. In addition to its desired action, Locacorten Vioform (Clioquinol Flumethasone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause burning, dryness, irritation, itching, or redness or skin. It may cause secondary infection. It may cause skin rash, change in skin color. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to clioquinol, or any component of the formulation, pre-existing tuberculosis of the skin (skin infection), or viral infections of the skin, application to eyes, application to ulcerated areas (open sore on the skin), use in children <2 years of age. Taking Locacorten Vioform (Clioquinol Flumethasone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Locacorten Vioform (Clioquinol Flumethasone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
