Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) is an antifungal agent. It is typically used to treat vaginal yeast infections in adults and children 12 years of age and older. It may also have other uses.

Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) is typically used once daily for six consecutive days, preferably at bedtime. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 is inserted into the vagina in much the same way as a tampon. Stand, squat, or lie on your back in a comfortable position. Insert the filled applicator into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go. Holding the barrel of the applicator steady, gently depress the plunger until it stops. This will release the medication high in the vagina where it will be most effective. Remove the applicator. WARNING: Clotrimaderm Vaginal cream is not for ophthalmic (eye) use. If you have frequent vaginal yeast infections or if your yeast infection returns in less than 2 months, see your doctor before using Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) again. In addition to its desired action, Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal bloating, burning, cramping, itching. It may cause rash, redness, swelling. Contraindications: Do not use Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any ingredients of the medication. Taking Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Clotrimaderm Vaginal 6 (Clotrimazole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
