Description
Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone) is a hormonal agent. It is typically used to help relieve the symptoms of patients with prostate cancer. It may also have other uses.

Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer tablets at the same time each day, after meals and with liquids. Tablets may be divided into equal halves. WARNING: Use with caution in heart disease, in patients with a history of depression. Use with caution in patients with diabetes. Ethanol should be avoided during treatment. In addition to its desired action, Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause reduced sexual interest (decreased libido), swelling of the breast, impotence It may cause abnormal sperm, low sperm count which may be reversible after the medication is discontinued. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cyproterone or any component of the formulation, liver disease or dysfunction, previous or existing liver tumors, presence or history of tumors on membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord, severe chronic depression, existing thromboembolic processes (formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel) Taking Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone) during pregnancy is harmful for the baby. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Med Cyproterone (Cyproterone)
