Description
Enablex (Darifenacin) is an urinary antispasmodic agent. It is typically used to treat the symptoms of overactive bladder (a frequent and sudden urge to urinate that may be difficulty to control). It may also have other uses.

Enablex (Darifenacin) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with or without food. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and not chewed, divided or crushed. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with bladder outflow obstruction (a blockage that slows or stops urine flow out) because of the risk of urinary retention. Use with caution in patients with liver impairment. Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal (stomach and intestinal) disease. Use with caution in patients with myasthenia gravis (disease characterized by weakness and rapid fatigue of any of the muscles under your voluntary control). Use with caution in patients with controlled narrow-angle glaucoma (a condition of raised fluid pressure within the eye). In addition to its desired action, Enablex (Darifenacin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal pain, constipation, dizziness, headache, heartburn, nausea, weakness. It may cause hypertension (high blood pressure), weight gain, skin rash, flu symptoms. It may cause peripheral edema (swelling), urinary tract infection, dry mouth. Contraindications: if you are allergic to darifenacin or to any of the ingredients of the medication, if you have or are at risk for gastric retention (delayed emptying of the stomach), if you have or are at risk for urinary retention (an inability to empty the bladder), if you have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (a condition of raised fluid pressure within the eye). Taking Enablex (Darifenacin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Enablex (Darifenacin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
