Description

GD Diclo Miso (Diclofenac Misoprostol) is a combination of an anti-inflammatory and a mucosal protective agent (drug that protects the mucosal lining of the stomach from acidic gastric juices). It is typically used to treat osteoarthritis (joint disease) and rheumatoid arthritis (an inflammatory disease that mostly affects joints) in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers. It may also have other uses.

GD Diclo Miso (Diclofenac Misoprostol)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer this drug immediately after a meal or with food or milk.
WARNING: Use with caution in patients with liver function impairment. Use with caution in patients with pre-existing asthma (long-term lung disease). Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular (heart) problems. Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal (stomach and intestinal) problems or bleeding. Use with caution in patients with coagulation disorders (a conditions that affect the blood's clotting activities) or receiving anticoagulants (medications that help stop the blood). Use with caution in patients with hypertension (high blood pressure), monitor blood pressure closely during initiation of the treatment and throughout the course of therapy. In addition to its desired action, GD Diclo Miso (Diclofenac Misoprostol) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause a decreased appetite, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, heartburn, trouble breathing. It may cause nausea, stomach pain, sleep disorders, fatigue, headache, high blood pressure, increase in liver enzymes. It may cause hair loss, urinary tract infection, high blood pressure, black or bloody stools, blood in your urine or vomit. Contraindications: If you are allergic to diclofenac sodium, misoprostol, or any ingredients of the medication, if you have had an allergic reaction to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (similar agents), if you are pregnant or may be pregnant, if you have active gastrointestinal bleeding, if you have a history of asthma (inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs) after taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (similar agents), if you have recently had or are planning to have heart bypass surgery (a procedure that restores blood flow to your heart muscle).
Taking GD Diclo Miso (Diclofenac Misoprostol) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with GD Diclo Miso (Diclofenac Misoprostol) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
