Description

Diphenhydramine (Diphenhydramine) is an anti-allergy agent. It is typically used to treat severe allergic reactions, especially for people who are unable to take diphenhydramine by mouth. It may also have other uses.

WARNING: This drug may cause central nervous system depression, which may impair physical or mental abilities, patients must be cautioned about performing tasks which require mental alertness. Use with caution in patient with history of asthma (disease that affects your lungs). Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular (heart) problems. Use with caution in patients with increased intraocular (inside the eye) pressure. Use with caution in patients with thyroid dysfunction (a condition in which your thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain hormones).
In addition to its desired action, Diphenhydramine (Diphenhydramine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.
It may cause blurred vision, fatigue, dryness of the mouth.
It may cause low blood pressure, dizziness.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine, or any component of the formulation, neonates or premature infants, breastfeeding.
Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, or breastfeeding contact your family doctor. A treatment with Diphenhydramine (Diphenhydramine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
