Description
Persantine (Dipyridamole) is a blood thinner. It is typically used in a medical test (cardiac perfusion imaging) together with a radioactive substance to assess the flow of blood to the heart muscle. The test will help your doctor determine if there are areas of your heart which do not receive enough blood supply due to coronary artery disease. It may also have other uses.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to dipyridamole or any component of the formulation. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Persantine (Dipyridamole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
