Description
Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat) is an antihypertensive agent. It is usually used for the treatment of hypertension when oral therapy is not practical. It may also have other uses.

Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Angioedema (swelling beneath your skin) of the face, extremities, lips, tongue, and/or larynx has been reported rarely in patients treated with Enalaprilat injection. This may occur at anytime during treatment and may be life-threatening. If angioedema occurs, discontinue therapy and institute appropriate therapy immediately. In addition to its desired action, Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause dry cough, throat pain. It may cause fatigue, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. It may cause allergic reactions, headaches. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to this product or to any ingredient in its formulation. History of angioneurotic edema relating to previous treatment with similar agent. Taking Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Enalaprilat USP (Enalaprilat)
