Additional information

Vagifem (Estradiol) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Insert tablet with supplied applicator at the same time each day. Once inserted, press plunger until fully depressed, then remove applicator and discard. If tablet comes out of applicator prior to insertion, do not replace, use a new tablet filled applicator instead (if the tablet has fallen out of applicator but still remains in the package, it can be reinserted in the applicator for use). Local abrasion caused by the vaginal applicator has been reported in patients with severely atrophic vaginal mucosa.
