Description

Parsitan (Ethopropazine) is an antiparkinsonian agent. It is typically used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement) to improve muscle control and reduce stiffness. It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Parsitan (Ethopropazine) is typically used three times per day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It can be taken with or without food. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with heart problems, prostate problems, and pyloric obstruction (narrowing of the pylorus, the opening from the stomach, into the small intestine)
In addition to its desired action, Parsitan (Ethopropazine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, dryness of mouth, headache. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ethopropazine or any component of the formulation, glaucoma (abnormally high pressure in your eye) and hypersensitivity to phenothiazine drugs (class of drugs).
Taking Parsitan (Ethopropazine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
A treatment with Parsitan (Ethopropazine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Parsitan (Ethopropazine)
