Description
Apo Felodipine (Felodipine extended-release) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also have other uses.

Apo Felodipine (Felodipine extended-release) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Swallow tablet whole, tablet should not be divided, crushed, or chewed. May be administered without food or with a small meal that is low in fat and carbohydrates. WARNING: increased angina (chest pain) and/or MI (heart attack) has occurred with initiation or dosage titration In addition to its desired action, Apo Felodipine (Felodipine extended-release) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause peripheral edema (swelling of lower legs or hands) It may cause headaches It may cause flushing, tachycardia (rapid heart rate) Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to felodipine or any component of the formulation, women of childbearing potential, in pregnancy, and during lactation (production of milk from the breast of a woman post-pregnancy). Taking Apo Felodipine (Felodipine extended-release) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Felodipine (Felodipine extended-release) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
