Description
SDZ Flumazenil (Flumazenil) is an antidote agent (drug that neutralizes the effects of another drug). It is typically used to reverse the effects of drugs called benzodiazepines (anti-anxiety drugs). It may also have other uses.

SDZ Flumazenil (Flumazenil)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer SDZ Flumazenil (Flumazenil) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with a head injury. Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) dysfunction. Use with caution in patients with a history of seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain). Use with caution in patients with alcoholism (addiction to the consumption of alcoholic drink). In addition to its desired action, SDZ Flumazenil (Flumazenil) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, vomiting, agitation, headache, pain at injection site. It may cause dizziness, blurred vision, vomiting, sleep disorders. It may cause skin rash, palpitation (irregular beating of the heart), blurred vision. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to flumazenil, benzodiazepines (anti-anxiety drugs), or any component of the formulation, patients given benzodiazepines for control of potentially life-threatening conditions, patients who may have ingested or are showing signs of cyclic-antidepressant (antidepressant drugs) overdose. Taking SDZ Flumazenil (Flumazenil) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
