Description
Lyderm (Fluocinonide) is a topical corticosteroid agent. It is typically used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, which is a group of conditions that make your skin inflamed or irritated, but also allergies, rash). It reduces the swelling, itching and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. It may also have other uses.

Lyderm (Fluocinonide) is typically used two to four times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. For topical use only. Apply sparingly in a thin film. Rub in lightly. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands after application (unless hands are part of the treatment area). WARNING: Children may absorb larger amounts after topical application and may be more prone to side effects. If irritation develops, discontinued use and institute appropriate therapy. Do not use in the eyes. In addition to its desired action, Lyderm (Fluocinonide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blistering, burning, crusting, dryness, or flaking of the skin It may cause irritation, itching, scaling, severe redness, soreness, or swelling of the skin Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to fluocinonide or any component of the formulation Taking Lyderm (Fluocinonide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Lyderm (Fluocinonide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
