Description
Teva Fluvastatin (Fluvastatin) is an anticholesterol agent. It is typically used for the treatment of high level of cholesterol in the blood. It may also have other uses.

Teva Fluvastatin (Fluvastatin) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer orally without regard to meals. WARNING: Use with caution in patients who consume substantial amounts of alcohol and/or have a history of liver disease, monitor such patients closely. In addition to its desired action, Teva Fluvastatin (Fluvastatin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause insomnia (difficulty falling asleep), nausea, abdominal pain. It may cause heartburn, cough, headache. Contraindications: Patients with known hypersensitivity to fluvastatin, patients with active liver disease, or unexplained, persistent elevations in serum transaminases (an enzyme that is normally present in liver and heart cells). Taking Teva Fluvastatin (Fluvastatin) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
