Description
Fucithalmic (Fusidic Acid) is an antibiotic. It is usually used to treat infections on the surface of the eye. It may also have other uses.

Fucithalmic (Fusidic Acid) is usually used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may suggest a different schedule that works best for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Wash your hands before you administer FUCITHALMIC. Remove the cap from the tube. Stand or sit comfortably and tilt your head backwards. Hold the tube above your eye. Gently pull down your lower eyelid and squeeze one drop from the tube into your lower eyelid. Be careful not to touch the tip of the tube to your eye or any other surface, to avoid contamination. WARNING: prolonged use may result in superinfection (including fungal infections). Discontinue use if superinfection occurs, evaluate and treat appropriately. Do not wear contact lenses (hard or soft) when treating an eye infection with FUCITHALMIC. Wearing contact lenses when you have an eye infection could be harmful to your eyes. In addition to the desired action, this medicine may cause some side effects, the most notable of which are: It may cause eye pain, headache. It may cause tearing or watering of the eyes on application. It may cause blurred vision temporarily. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to fusidic acid or any of the components of the preparation. Taking Fucithalmic (Fusidic Acid) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Fucithalmic (Fusidic Acid) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Fucithalmic (Fusidic Acid)
