Description
Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) is an antidiabetic agent. It is typically used as adjunct therapy for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It may also have other uses.

Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) is typically used once or twice daily for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, type 2 as adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. It can be taken with food or without food. WARNING: This medication may increase the risk of heart disease and mortality. Glyburide may cause severe allergic reactions and may lower blood glucose level. In addition to its desired action, Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause heartburn, nausea, jaundice, hepatic (liver) disease. It may cause low glucose levels, weight gain, and skin rash. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to glyburide or any component of the formulation, type 1 diabetes mellitus, liver disease, renal (kidney) impairment, pregnancy, breastfeeding. Taking Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Glyburide (Glyburide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
