Jamp Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Urea 10% (Hydrocortisone Urea)

Jamp Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Urea 10% (Hydrocortisone Urea) is typically applied sparingly to the affected skin area (s) 1-4 times a day until the skin has healed. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Do not apply This medication to your eyes. Do not cover This medication with a tight dressing that does not allow your skin to be exposed to the air. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. 
 
WARNING: Using topical corticosteroid medication for a long period of time can cause skin to thin or soften or cause stretch marks. It is not recommended for children less than 2 years of age. Applying This medication to large areas of the body or applying it under dressings that don't allow the skin to contact the air encourages the absorption of hydrocortisone into the blood circulation. This could produce unwanted effects similar to those experienced after taking oral (by mouth) corticosteroid medications for long periods of time. Symptoms include weakness, increased urination, increased thirst, fatigue or weight loss.
 
In addition to its desired action, Jamp Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Urea 10% (Hydrocortisone Urea) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause burning, dryness, irritation, peeling, itching, or redness of skin
It may cause acne or oily skin, delayed healing of skin wounds, pinhead-sized red blisters, and thinning or softening of skin. 
It may cause unusual bruising or skin discoloration, and folliculitis (tiny skin rashes with pimply appearance around the hair roots). 
 
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone, urea, or any component of the formulation. Patients who have untreated tuberculosis (bacterial infection), fungal, or bacterial infections of the skin, or viral infections should not use Jamp Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Urea 10% (Hydrocortisone Urea). 
 
Taking Jamp Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Urea 10% (Hydrocortisone Urea) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
