Description

Mint Hydroxychloroquine (Hydroxychloroquine) is an anti-inflammatory and antimalarial agent. It is typically used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis to reduce pain, stiffness, and swelling in joints, for the treatment and prevention of certain types of malaria (a disease caused by a parasite and characterized by fever and flu-like illness, including shaking chills, headache, muscle aches, and tiredness), and for the treatment of lupus (a disease that affects your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs). It may also have other uses.

Mint Hydroxychloroquine (Hydroxychloroquine)'s dosage depends on the condition, (usual dosage range: 200 mg - 800 mg). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with food or milk. Do not crush or divide film-coated tablets per the manufacturer, the tablets have a bitter taste. in patients unable to swallow tablets, it has been recommended that tablets may be crushed and mixed with a small amount of applesauce, chocolate syrup, or jelly, or an extemporaneous suspension may be compounded 

WARNING: Use with caution in patients with hepatic (liver) impairment, dosage reduction may be needed.

In addition to its desired action, Mint Hydroxychloroquine (Hydroxychloroquine) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause retinopathy (a disease that causes impairment or loss of vision)
It may cause hemolysis (the rupture or destruction of red blood cells, cells in the blood that carry oxygen to your organs)
It may cause alopecia (hair loss), exacerbation of psoriasis (skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches), exfoliative dermatitis (skin disease that causes red rashes, dry skin and itchiness), hair discoloration

Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to hydroxychloroquine, similar agents, or any component of the formulation, pre-existing retinopathy (impairment or loss of vision), use in children <6 years or weighing <35 kg

Taking Mint Hydroxychloroquine (Hydroxychloroquine) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
