Description
Isopto Tears (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) is an ophthalmic agent. It is typically used for the treatment of eye dryness. It may also have other uses.

Isopto Tears (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) is typically used three times daily. Apply 1 or 2 drops in the eyes. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Remove contact lenses before using this ophthalmic solution. In addition to its desired action, Isopto Tears (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blurred vision, irritation in the eyes and eye discomfort in bright light. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Pregnant women should not use this product in the third trimester. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Isopto Tears (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
