Advil Arthritis pain (Ibuprofen) is a painkiller agent. It is typically used for the relief of pain associated with pain from inflammation associated with conditions including arthritis (inflammation or swelling of one or more joints) and physical or athletic overexertion (e.g. sprains or strains). It may also have other uses.

Advil Arthritis pain (Ibuprofen) is typically used three times. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take ibuprofen with food or milk to minimize side effects such as heartburn and stomach upset. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with heart failure, hypertension (high blood pressure) or other conditions predisposing to fluid retention. Caution in patients prone to gastrointestinal tract irritation, including those with a history of peptic ulcer (lesion of the stomach) In addition to its desired action, Advil Arthritis pain (Ibuprofen) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea or vomiting, bloating, diarrhea or constipation, ringing or buzzing in the ears, nervousness, sleeplessness Contraindications: Active peptic ulcer, a history of recurrent ulceration or active inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal system. Known or suspected hypersensitivity to the drug or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients who are hypersensitive to this drug or to any ingredient in the formulation or component of the container. It should not be used in patients with the complete or partial syndrome of nasal polyps (soft, non cancerous growths on the lining of your nose or sinuses), or asthma (a respiratory condition marked by spasms in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing) or hives. DURING THE FIRST 6 MONTHS: If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. Taking Advil Arthritis pain (Ibuprofen) during the last trimester of the pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
