Stromectol (Ivermectin) is an antiparasitic agent. It is typically used to treat infections caused by some parasites (worms). It may also have other uses.

Stromectol (Ivermectin) is typically used as a single dose. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer on an empty stomach with water. WARNING: STROMECTOL is a single dose treatment. If you did not take your dose at the prescribed time, take it as soon as possible. It is important to take STROMECTOL as recommended by your doctor. Too much STROMECTOL might decrease your ability to remain awake, aware, and oriented and could lead into a coma. In addition to its desired action, Stromectol (Ivermectin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause headaches, dizziness, muscle pain, nausea, diarrhea It may cause swelling of hands/ankles/feet, swelling or tenderness of your lymph nodes (located in many parts of the body, including the neck, armpit, chest, belly, and groin. They contain immune cells that can help fight infections by attacking and destroying germs that are carried in through the lymph fluid), and itching Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ivermectin or any component of the formulation Taking Stromectol (Ivermectin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Stromectol (Ivermectin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
