Description
NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide) is an anticonvulsant agent. It is typically used to treat partial onset seizures (partial seizures occur when abnormal electrical activity begins in only one part of the brain). It may also have other uses.

NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide) is typically used twice daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug with or without food. WARNING: Lacosamide may cause dizziness and poor coordination which could increase the risk of accidental injury or a fall. Therefore, you should be careful until you are used to the effects this medicine might have. Use with caution in patients with renal (kidney) and hepatic (liver) impairment, dosage adjustments may be required. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular (heart) impairment. In addition to its desired action, NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, falls, fatigue, headache, blurred vision. It may cause poor muscle coordination, balance impairment, vomiting. Contraindications: if you are allergic to lacosamide or to any of the ingredients of the medication, if you have or had second- or third-degree AV block (types of heart rhythm disorder). Taking NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.NRA Lacosamide (Lacosamide)
