Description
SDZ Latanoprost (Latanoprost) is an antiglaucoma agent. It is typically used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (abnormally high pressure in your eye). Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness. It may also have other uses.

SDZ Latanoprost (Latanoprost) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It is used as one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening, do not exceed the once daily dosage. WARNING: Avoid use in patients with active intraocular (in the eye) inflammation. solution contains benzalkonium chloride which may be absorbed by contact lenses, remove lens prior to administration and wait 15 minutes before re-inserting. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Latanoprost (Latanoprost) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause foreign body sensation of eye, eye pain, stinging of eyes, red eye(s), eye discharge, increased eyelash length It may cause infection (influenza), back pain, muscle pain It may cause blurred vision, increased eyelash thickness, eye pruritus (itching), burning sensation of eyes, decreased visual acuity, eyelid pain, crusting of eyelid, dry eyes syndrome, eyelid edema (swelling) It may cause upper respiratory tract infections (coughing, runny nose, sneezing and throat pain) Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to latanoprost, benzalkonium chloride, or any component of the formulation Taking SDZ Latanoprost (Latanoprost) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with SDZ Latanoprost (Latanoprost) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
