Description
Apo Leflunomide (Leflunomide) is an antirheumatic agent. It is typically used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints). The condition usually affects the hands, feet and wrists. Leflunomide helps to reduce the joint damage/pain/swelling and helps you to move better. It may also have other uses.

Apo Leflunomide (Leflunomide) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Leflunomide may be taken with or without food, but it should be taken at the same time every day with a full glass of water or other fluid. WARNING: Known hypersensitivity (including anaphylaxis, a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction) to leflunomide or any component of the formulation, severe hepatic (liver) impairment, concomitant treatment with teriflunomide, pregnant females. In addition to its desired action, Apo Leflunomide (Leflunomide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause headaches, alopecia (hair loss), skin rash, diarrhea, nausea It may cause hypertension (increased blood pressure), dizziness, abdominal pain, vomiting, abnormal liver function tests It may cause hypersensitivity reaction, back pain, weakness It may cause bronchitis (lung infection) Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity (including anaphylaxis) to leflunomide or any component of the formulation, severe hepatic (liver) impairment, concomitant treatment with teriflunomide, pregnant females. Taking Apo Leflunomide (Leflunomide) during pregnancy is harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.
