Description
Zyvoxam (Linezolid) is an antibiotic. It is typically used for the treatment of several infections including: lung infections, skin infections. that can not be treated with other antibiotics because of bacterial resistance. It may also have other uses.

Zyvoxam (Linezolid) is an antibiotic typically used twice daily for the treatment of several infections including: lung infections, skin infections. that can not be treated with other antibiotics because of bacterial resistance. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer Zyvoxam (Linezolid) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: prolonged use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection (additional infection), use with caution in patients having high blood pressure, certain type of cancers, brain diseases and thyroid (gland in the neck) diseases. In addition to its desired action, Zyvoxam (Linezolid) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence and nausea. It may cause skin rash, allergies, fungal infections. It may cause decreased white blood cell count (blood problems) Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to linezolid or any component of the formulation, concurrent use or within 2 weeks of MAO inhibitors (a class of medication used to treat depression). It is not recommended to be used in patients having certain cardiac (heart) diseases like uncontrolled increase in blood pressure, certain thyroid gland (gland in the neck) disease and concomitant use of several antidepressants. Taking Zyvoxam (Linezolid) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Zyvoxam (Linezolid) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
