Description
Synarel (Nafarelin) is a man-made form of a protein that is like a hormone. It is typically used to treat endometriosis (a condition in which the tissue that is normally only in the uterus (the hollow, muscular organ of women in which the embryo develops) grows outside of the uterus) in women who are at least 18 years old. It may also have other uses.

Synarel (Nafarelin) is typically used twice daily. The dose may change depending on the evolution of your disease. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administration: One spray into one nostril each morning and one spray into the other nostril each evening. WARNING: You must use a non-hormonal method of birth control (any method that doesn't affect a woman’s hormones) while taking SYNAREL to prevent pregnancy. In addition to its desired action, Synarel (Nafarelin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause hypertrichosis (excessive growth of hair), headache, vaginal dryness, mood changes, acne, muscle pain. It may cause weight gain, swelling, vaginal bleeding, hot flushes (sudden feeling of warmth in the upper body), breast pain. It may cause hypersensitivity reactions, insomnia (difficulty falling asleep), depression, body odor. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation, undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding. Taking Synarel (Nafarelin) during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Synarel (Nafarelin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Synarel (Nafarelin)
