Description
Tagrisso (Osimertinib) is an antineoplastic or anticancer agent. It is typically used as a treatment for different types of cell lung cancer. It may also have other uses.

Tagrisso (Osimertinib) is usually given once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer with or without food. WARNING: This medication may cause heart toxicity, skin toxicity, skin reactions including: rash, dry skin, and itching. Nail toxicity may also occur. Stomach toxicity, ocular (eye) toxicity (promptly refer patients for ophthalmologic evaluation if signs or symptoms like eye inflammation, lacrimation, light sensitivity, blurred vision, eye pain or red eye develop). These events may occur at anytime during therapy and without warning. In addition to its desired action, Tagrisso (Osimertinib) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nail disease, respiratory infections, dizziness and skin rash. It may cause abdominal pain, decrease appetite, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It may cause hypermagnesemia (high magnesium level), hypokalemia (low potassium level), fatigue, headache and cough. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to osimertinib or any component of the formulation. Taking Tagrisso (Osimertinib) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Tagrisso (Osimertinib) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Tagrisso (Osimertinib) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
