Peppermint spirit (Peppermint Oil) typically used for stomach/intestinal disorders (such as upset stomach, cramps, irritable bowel syndrome-IBS). It may also have other uses.

Peppermint spirit (Peppermint Oil)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It's best to take it around 1 hour before meals. WARNING: Do not take it if you are allergic to it, or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. If you have any of the following health problems, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product: heartburn (gastroesophageal reflux disease-GERD), stomach/intestinal ulcers (lesions), liver disease, gallbladder disease, bile duct blockage (bile builds up in the liver, and jaundice (yellow color of the skin) develops due to the increasing level of bilirubin in the blood). In addition to its desired action, Peppermint spirit (Peppermint Oil) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause nausea, vomiting, or heartburn. It may cause headaches, flushing, mouth irritation/sores, severe stomach/abdominal pain. Contraindications: Do not take it if you are allergic to peppermint or any ingredients of the formulation. Taking Peppermint spirit (Peppermint Oil) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
