Description
Perjeta (Pertuzumab) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat breast cancer that has metastasized (spread to other parts of the body). It may also have other uses.

Perjeta (Pertuzumab)'s dosage depends on the condition being treated. Your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a schedule that is more appropriate for you. Your doctor or nurse will administer Perjeta (Pertuzumab) to you in a hospital or clinical setting. WARNING: This drug may cause heart failure (a condition that develops when your heart doesn't pump enough blood for your body's needs). You will need to have your heart function checked while taking this drug. In addition to its desired action, Perjeta (Pertuzumab) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause acne, bone, neck, chest, or abdominal pain. It may cause changed sense of taste, constipation, cough, decreased appetite, diarrhea, dizziness, dry, itchy skin. It may cause hair loss, headache, heartburn, sleep disorders. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to pertuzumab or any component of the formulation. Taking Perjeta (Pertuzumab) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Perjeta (Pertuzumab) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
