Description
Apo Prednisone (Prednisone) is a corticosteroid agent. It is typically used to treat a variety of conditions. These conditions include allergic reactions, skin conditions, severe asthma (a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus), and arthritis (pain and inflammation of the joints). It can also be used to treat steroid deficiency in the body, certain blood disorders, and certain types of cancer. It may also have other uses.

Apo Prednisone (Prednisone)'s dosage depends on your condition (usual range: 2.5 mg - 60 mg). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Take Prednisone with food to avoid stomach upset. Swallow the whole tablet with a full glass of water. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Prednisone should not be stopped suddenly, gradual tapering of the dose is a must. Use with caution in patients with liver disease, kidney disease (may cause fluid retention), eye problems (history of eye infection by herpes simplex, a virus), seizure disorders, and thyroid disease (a gland found in the neck). This medication may mask some signs of infection, and new infections may appear during the use. Prednisone can cause high blood sugar (use with caution in patients with diabetes). If you take large doses of prednisone, you may need to restrict your salt intake and take potassium supplements. It may cause fluid retention, leading to an increase in blood pressure. In addition to its desired action, Apo Prednisone (Prednisone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause thin and shiny skin, unusual increase in hair growth, or increased sweating. It may cause trouble sleeping, weight gain, irregular menstrual periods, decreased fertility in men, or general feeling of being unwell. It may cause stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, a changed sense of taste, bloating, or heartburn. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Prednisone or any component of the formulation. The administration of live or live attenuated vaccines with immunosuppressive doses (doses that suppress the immunity) of Prednisone is contraindicated. Patients who suffer from systemic fungal infections should not use Apo Prednisone (Prednisone). Taking Apo Prednisone (Prednisone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Prednisone (Prednisone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
