Description
Mylan Propafenone (Propafenone) is an antiarrhythmic agent. It is typically used for the treatment of heart rhythm problems. It may also have other uses.

Mylan Propafenone (Propafenone) is typically used three times daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. The tablet should be swallowed whole with liquid and be administered with food. WARNING: Can cause life-threatening drug-induced arrhythmias (heart rhythm problems), including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and torsade de pointes (heart rhythm diseases) In addition to its desired action, Mylan Propafenone (Propafenone) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause unusual taste, dizziness It may cause nausea, vomiting It may cause heart arrhythmia (heart rhythm disease), angina pectoris (chest pain), cardiac (heart) failure, first degree atrioventricular block (heart problem), palpitations (heart racing), ventricular tachycardia (heart disease), bradycardia (slow heart rate). It may cause fatigue, headache, ataxia (movement problem), insomnia, anxiety, drowsiness Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to propafenone or any component of the formulation, sinoatrial, atrioventricular, and intraventricular disorders of impulse generation or conduction (except in patients with a functioning artificial pacemaker) (heart rhythm problems), known Brugada syndrome (a genetic disorder that can cause a dangerous irregular heartbeat), bradycardia (slow heart rate), cardiogenic shock (heart problem), heart failure, marked hypotension (low blood pressure), bronchospastic disorders or severe obstructive pulmonary disease (lung disease), marked electrolyte imbalance Taking Mylan Propafenone (Propafenone) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Mylan Propafenone (Propafenone) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
