Description
Apo Quinapril HCTZ (Quinapril Hydrochlorothiazide) is an antihypertensive agent. It is typically used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also have other uses.

Apo Quinapril HCTZ (Quinapril Hydrochlorothiazide) is typically taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer without regard to food. WARNING: This medication can cause injury and death to the developing fetus. Discontinue as soon as possible once pregnancy is detected. In addition to its desired action, Apo Quinapril HCTZ (Quinapril Hydrochlorothiazide) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause abdominal pain, back pain, cold-like symptoms (stuffy or runny nose) It may cause constipation, cough (dry, persistent), decreased appetite It may cause decreased interest in sexual activity, diarrhea, dizziness It may cause drowsiness, fatigue or tiredness, headache, nausea Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to quinapril, hydrochlorothiazide, sulfonamide-derived drugs (sulfadiazine, sulfamethizole, sulfamethoxazole, sulfasalazine, sulfisoxazole), or any other component of the formulation, history of angioedema (the rapid swelling of the area beneath the skin) related to previous treatment with an ACE inhibitor (similar agent), concomitant use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes mellitus, concomitant use or within 36 hours of switching to or from a neprilysin inhibitor (e.g., sacubitril), anuria (failure of kidneys to produce urine) Taking Apo Quinapril HCTZ (Quinapril Hydrochlorothiazide) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Quinapril HCTZ (Quinapril Hydrochlorothiazide) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
