Additional information
Apo Ranitidine (Ranitidine) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It is taken after the evening meal or before bedtime. Measure the dose carefully using a measuring spoon or a special medication spoon available from your pharmacist. Do not use household spoons or you may not get the correct dose. WARNING: Rare cases of reversible confusion (which goes away after stopping the medication) have been associated with Ranitidine. This effect is usually seen in elderly or severely ill patients, or in patients with renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) impairment. Prolonged treatment (for more than 2 years) of Ranitidine may cause vitamin B12 deficiency. Use with caution in patients with liver disease and kidney disease. Ranitidine may increase the risk of attacks of a condition called acute porphyria (a disorder affecting the production of heme in the body). People with a history of acute porphyria should not take Ranitidine. In addition to its desired action, Apo Ranitidine (Ranitidine) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause blurred vision, mood changes (e.g., agitation, confusion, depression, hallucinations), or trouble sleeping. It may cause a fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat. It may cause weakness, tiredness, or muscle or joint pain. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Ranitidine or any component of the formulation. Allergy to Ranitidine or other medications of the same class (e.g., Cimetidine, Famotidine). Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Ranitidine (Ranitidine) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Apo Ranitidine (Ranitidine)
