Additional information
Stivarga (Regorafenib) is typically taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Regorafenib should be taken at the same time each day after eating a light, low-fat, low-calorie meal. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: Regorafenib may cause low levels of red blood cells (anemia), a reduced number of platelets (involved in clotting) in the blood (thrombocytopenia), which can make it difficulty to stop cuts from bleeding, and a reduced number of cells that fight infection in the body (white blood cells). Regorafenib may cause a tingling, burning sensation on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet (hand-foot skin reaction). This can progress to swelling or thickening of the skin on the hands and feet. This medication may cause severe and sometimes fatal hepatotoxicity (liver damage). It may cause reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS), a rare disease of the brain that causes headaches, seizures, change in awareness or consciousness or vision changes. In addition to its desired action, Stivarga (Regorafenib) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause a changed sense of taste, a decreased appetite, weight loss, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. It may cause dry skin, hair loss, voice changes or hoarseness. It may cause headaches, muscle stiffness, pain, or tiredness. It may cause increased blood pressure (hypertension), cough or shortness of breath, slow wound healing, or mouth sores. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to regorafenib, any component of the formulation, or sorafenib. Taking Stivarga (Regorafenib) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Stivarga (Regorafenib) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Stivarga (Regorafenib)
