Description
Kisqali (Ribociclib) is an anticancer agent. It is typically used to treat advanced or metastatic (cancer that spreads from where it started to a distant part of the body) breast cancer in women. It may also have other uses.

Kisqali (Ribociclib) is typically once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Take this drug at approximately the same time each day, preferably in the morning. May be administered with or without food. WARNING: This medication may cause QT prolongation (a heart rhythm condition that can potentially cause fast, chaotic heartbeat). Avoid ribociclib use in patients who have or are at significant risk for developing QTc prolongation. It may cause hepatotoxicity (liver toxicity) and low levels of white blood cells (white blood cells protect your body against infection). In addition to its desired action, Kisqali (Ribociclib) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause decreased blood sugar level, decreased blood phosphate level, decreased blood potassium level. It may cause abdominal pain, decreased appetite, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue. It may cause urinary tract infection, cough, headache, insomnia (difficulty falling asleep). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ribociclib or any component of the formulation, untreated congenital long QT syndrome (a hereditary cardiac disease characterized by a prolongation of the QT interval), patients who are at significant risk of developing QTc prolongation. Taking Kisqali (Ribociclib) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. There is no available data regarding the harm of Kisqali (Ribociclib) for the fetus, therefore it is not recommended to use it. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Kisqali (Ribociclib) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
