Description
Apo Tamsulosin CR (Tamsulosin controlled-release) is typically used for urinary tract problems. It is typically used for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostate hyperplasia (overgrowth of prostate tissue). It may also have other uses.

Apo Tamsulosin CR (Tamsulosin controlled-release) is typically used once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. It should be administered at the same time each day with or without food, and should be swallowed whole. WARNING: Rarely, patients with a sulfa allergy have also developed an allergic reaction to tamsulosin, avoid use when previous reaction has been severe or life-threatening. In addition to its desired action, Apo Tamsulosin CR (Tamsulosin controlled-release) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure that happens when you stand up from sitting or lying down) It may cause ejaculation failure It may cause an infection It may cause dizziness and headache It may cause rhinitis (runny nose and stuffiness) Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tamsulosin or any component of the formulation Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Tamsulosin CR (Tamsulosin controlled-release) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
