Description
SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) is an antibiotic. It is typically used to treat certain eye infections that are caused by bacteria. It may also have other uses.

SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) is typically given as 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. If more than one type of eye drop is being applied, use the medications at least 5 to 10 minutes apart. To prevent contamination of the dropper, make sure it does not touch the eye, skin, or other surfaces. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. WARNING: This medication may cause a temporary blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision has cleared. Contact lenses should not be worn when treating an eye infection. The drop form of SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) contains an ingredient that can discolor contact lenses. Contact lenses must be removed from the eye before putting the drops in the affected eye and should not be reinserted until at least 15 minutes after using the drops. In addition to its desired action, SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause dry eyes, eye redness, itching and swelling of eyelid, and temporarily blurred vision. It may cause increased tearing, metallic taste, and headache. It may cause nausea and stomach upset. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to tobramycin, or any component of the formulation. Taking SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) during pregnancy may be harmful to the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. If you're planning a pregnancy, become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with SDZ Tobramycin (Tobramycin) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
