Description
Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) is an antifungal agent. It is typically used for the treatment of certain fungal infections. It may also have other uses.

Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) is typically used twice daily for the treatment of fungal infections in patients ≥2 years of age. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Food may decrease voriconazole absorption so you should take the medication 1 hour before or 1 hour after a meal and maintain adequate hydration unless instructed to restrict fluid intake. WARNING: Liver disease or reduced liver function may cause Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) to build up in the body, causing side effects. As well, voriconazole may reduce liver function and can cause liver failure. Your doctor will monitor the function of your liver while you are taking Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole).This medication can cause abnormal heart rhythms. Certain medications (e.g., sotalol, quinidine, thioridazine, chlorpromazine, pimozide, moxifloxacin, mefloquine, pentamidine, arsenic trioxide, probucol, tacrolimus) can increase the risk of a type of abnormal heart rhythm called QT prolongation, and should not be used in combination with voriconazole. If you have heart disease and abnormal heart rhythms, or are taking certain medications, discuss with your doctor how Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) may affect your medical condition In addition to its desired action, Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause high blood pressure, skin rash, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting. It may cause renal and kidney diseases, visual disturbances, fever. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to voriconazole or any component of the formulation, coadministration with certain antidepressant and other medications. Taking Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Apo Voriconazole (Voriconazole)
