Alunbrig (Brigatinib)

Additional information

Alunbrig (Brigatinib) is typically taken once a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. Swallow each tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets. It may be taken with or without food

WARNING: Alunbrig (Brigatinib) causes severe side effects like hypertension, interstitial lung disease, or pneumonitis. These are serious lung issues that can cause breathing problems, shortness of breath, cough, or fever that may result in death. Alunbrig (Brigatinib) should only be prescribed by doctors who are experienced in the use of drugs to treat cancer. Do not drive or use machines or tools if you feel tired or dizzy, or have problems with your vision while taking this medication. 

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.
It may cause dry mouth, inflammation of the mouth and lips, and indigestion. 
It may cause rash, dry skin, and itchy skin. 
It may cause joint pain, muscle pain, muscle spasms, chest pain, pain in arms and legs, swelling, and fatigue.
It may cause coughing, headaches, trouble sleeping, taste disturbances, decreased appetite, skin sensitivity to the sun, and numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. 

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Alunbrig (Brigatinib) or any component of the formulation; 

Taking this medication during pregnancy is contraindicated and harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor.

A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.
