Apo Cephalex (Cephalexin) is an antibiotic typically used two to four times a day, for the treatment of different infections including: skin infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, bone infections. Its dosage depends on your condition (usual dose range 1g/day to maximum 4 g/day). However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. It should be taken without regard to food. If you experience gastrointestinal distress, take with food. WARNING: Use with caution in patients having history of seizure, history of infection in the past 2 months and history of penicillin allergy. In addition to its desired action, Apo Cephalex (Cephalexin) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause chest pain, fatigue, agitation, dizziness, hallucination, urinary tract infection. It may cause blood count disturbance, genital fungal infection, and vaginal infections. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cephalexin, other cephalosporins, or any component of the formulation. Taking Apo Cephalex (Cephalexin) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
