Description
Apo Citalopram (Citalopram) is an antidepressant. It is typically used for the treatment of unipolar major depressive disorder. It may also have other uses.

Apo Citalopram (Citalopram) is typically taken once daily. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often than prescribed. If you miss a dose, contact your pharmacist. May be administered without regard to food, either in the morning or evening, but at the same time every day. It should be swallowed whole with water. WARNING: Use with caution in patients with a previous seizure disorder or condition predisposing to seizures such as brain damage or alcoholism. In addition to its desired action, Apo Citalopram (Citalopram) may cause some side effects, notably: It may cause diarrhea, drowsiness It may cause dry mouth, fatigue, increased sweating It may cause nausea, sexual difficulties It may cause shakiness, sleepiness, stuffy or runny nose Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to citalopram or any component of the formulation, use of MAO inhibitors (other antidepressants) intended to treat psychiatric disorders (concurrently or within 14 days of discontinuing either citalopram or the MAO inhibitor), initiation of citalopram in a patient receiving linezolid or intravenous methylene blue, concomitant use with Pimozide Taking Apo Citalopram (Citalopram) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Apo Citalopram (Citalopram) requires regular monitoring by a doctor.
