Description

Auro Eletriptan (Eletriptan) is an antimigraine agent. It is typically used to treat migraine (moderate or severe headaches). It may also have other uses.

Additional information

Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan) is typically used as a single dose, if symptoms persist or return, may repeat dose after ≥2 hours. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, contact your pharmacist. Administer this drug as soon as symptoms appear. Take it with or without food.
WARNING: Eletriptan may increase blood pressure. If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, do not take eletriptan. Eletriptan may cause dizziness or drowsiness affecting your ability to safely drive or operate machinery. Avoid these and other hazardous tasks until you have determined how Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan) affects you. Eletriptan should only be used where there is a clear diagnosis of migraine headaches.
In addition to its desired action, Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan) may cause some side effects, notably:
It may cause dizziness, feeling weak, increased sweating, muscle or joint pain or weakness. It may cause nausea, sleepiness or drowsiness, stomach pain or cramping, chest pain, shortness of breath.
Contraindications: If you are allergic to eletriptan or any ingredients of the medication, if you have a history of heart attack or silent heart ischemia (a condition in which the blood flow (and thus oxygen) is restricted or reduced in a part of the body), if you have angina pectoris (chest pain), if you have cerebrovascular accident (the sudden death of some brain cells), if you have certain types of migraine headaches (hemiplegic or basilar migraine), if you have heart disease or a history of heart disease, if you have high blood pressure that is severe or uncontrolled, if you have severe liver disease, recent use (within at least 72 hours) of the following potent CYP3A4 inhibitors: ketoconazole, itraconazole, nefazodone, troleandomycin, clarithromycin, ritonavir, or nelfinavir, recent use (within 24 hours) of treatment with an ergotamine-containing or ergot-type medication (e.g., dihydroergotamine or methysergide). Taking Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan) during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method. Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your family doctor. A treatment with Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan) requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.Auro Eletriptan  (Eletriptan)
